Girl I Know: Can you believe (insert her daughter’s name here) is already 2 years old?
Me: I know! It seems like just yesterday you were pregnant with her.
Girl I Know: I was looking at pictures from when we took her home from the hospital and I couldn’t believe she used to be so tiny!
Me: Oh my goodness, I can TOTALLY relate. Just the other day I was looking at Nala’s kitten pictures and was all “You’re not a baby anymore, are you?!?” Totally relate.
By the look on her face, I’m thinking she didn’t think it was quite the same thing. I’m not sure what bothered her the most. That I think parenting a cat is in any way similar to parenting a human (It so is). Or that I look at my cat’s kitten pictures (I so do).
Either way, I’d like to say, “Sweetheart, back off. My cat’s Super.”

Super Nala
Try parenting a puppy! I have a friend who told me that training her two dogs was more of a trial than training her two kids.
Good luck w. the cat!

Ha, I think puppies qualify as having forever toddlers. They have so much energy! Mark and I are definitely sticking with cats and plants before we move on to anything that requires ANY type of training 😀
I tell Coco all the time that she’s the prettiest puppy we’ve ever owned. LOL I call her puppy sometimes too. She just eats it up! Funny part is that my “puppy” is 2 and a half and weighs 90 pounds.
Great post!

Oh, I knew you’d appreciate the four-legged love! And Coco knows that you’re only as old as you feel, and she’ll always be young at heart 😀
Try parenting a Mac who thinks he is smarter than you and to top it off he is so darn cute.

Ha! Mac is adorable. Oh, I am going to be horrible if my kid is cute. I can’t discipline cuteness. It’s impossible.
