When it rains, it pours

Well, this weekend was quite eventful in Nashville.

The roads I take to work every morning looked like this… (Thanks Mandie S. for the pics!)

And the mini-golf place I always thought was Disney World when I was little looked like this…

And tell me that these cows don’t need hugs… poor guys/gals. (I never know cow gender.)

Fortunately, despite being literally a mile away from some of the craziest flooding (we’re down the street from the Lighthhouse portable video that’s making it’s way around The Internet) we were totally dry and safe through the whole thing.

We’re really thankful for that and are praying for the Nashville peeps who have lost nearly everything. Word is that Hands on Nashville is the best way to help out with the relief.

  1. Connie Oates says:

Wow when you wrote it was raining I had not idea just how much and the destruction. Are you guy’s all OK? You know me I worry!!!

Ha, I don’t think I knew how bad it would get when I wrote you! It was insane, but we’re great. I don’t think anyone in our neighborhood had any problems, but the people/businesses next to Mill Creek had plenty of trouble. And that’s just what’s near us. There was craziness all over town, and right now downtown and the Opryland area are what is in trouble (all of the flooding near our house is gone and I made it to work perfectly fine :D)

  2. I am very happy that you and your family are safe! I was so worried and was very relieved when you tweeted me. 🙂
