When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step?
(Author: Scott Belsky)

This is difficult. I feel like I have so many aspirations and then when I sit down to start naming them so that I can define the action steps necessary they all of a sudden seem not so concrete. That is frustrating.

One of my aspirations is to really believe what the Bible says. I mean, really believe. So when I say that God is Jehovah Jireh I want to really believe that He will provide when finances are tight and I don’t know where they’ll come from. Or believing that He is my Savior in a such way that I actually act like someone who has been freed from the bondage of sin and guilt and fear.

I went to a women’s breakfast at Franklin Tabernacle and one of the ladies shared a story of how her grandson was healed from cancer. His mom posted scriptures up all over the room and made it a rule that no one shed any tears. Her son was going to be healed and she was relying on a supernatural faith.

I’m not there, yet. I know it.  I’m taking steps though.

I spent the afternoon looking up verses about providing, obedience, praise and fear. I wrote them down on cardstock. In some verses I replaced pronouns with mine or Mark’s name. I’m posting these verses in our kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. Anywhere that we spend time. I’m taking a page out of the supernatural faith playbook and I’m going to combat our spiritual cancer with His word.

That’s just step one. Hopefully.

I will praise you, LORD,
with all my heart
and tell about the wonders
you have worked.
God Most High, I will rejoice;
I will celebrate and sing
because of you.
Psalm 9:1-2

When you have the fullness of God you feel like you don’t need anything, you are not missing anything but feel like you have everything you feel so contentment. The key to have the fullness of God is to be rooted and grounded consistently. Spending time with God purposely and diligently. God is so so faithful in all His promises. When He said to seek His kingdom and His righteousness and everything will be given to you ..but remember once you seek Him and His righteousness your wants and needs become so small and when you start spending time with Him more and more He reveal Himself to you more and more and can’t help but to love HIm!!

I, too, aspire to do this. It is so easy to get caught up in everyday life. To the point where you forget to really appreciate the One who made it all possible.
During my pregnancy, I was really stressing about the labor and delivery. My BFF sent me a text one day with this scripture and I thought I’d share it with you:
When a woman is giving birth she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born unto the world. John 16:21
I pray that you have a safe and blessed delivery and that your baby is healthy. 🙂 Looking forward to the delightful blogs to come with you as Mommy.
