6… ways to procrastinate

Dear Otis,

You are 6 months old… 3 days ago.

Yes, you’re mommy is a procrastinator. And your 6 month birthday happened to fall on a Friday and we all know I become useless by the weekend.

Being a procrastinator is not a good quality for a mom. I don’t want you to be stressed because I forgot to help you with your school projects or worried that I’m going to be late picking you up from football chess practice. I promise not to procrastinate too much, Little Man.

However, I would like to point out that your procrastination skillz don’t fall too far from the Mommy Tree.  See, I’ve noticed a trend. My “What your baby should be doing now” newsletter tells me where you should be developmentally each month. And you, my little friend, seem to wait until the very end of the month to do whatever it says you should be doing.

Like you didn’t really start holding your head up for real until the end of the third month. Or roll over until the 5th month. And do you know what you did on your 6 month birthday? Sat up. All by yourself.

Just so you know, Little Man, in this family it isn’t called procrastination. It’s called being easy going.

I love you,
Mommy Bear
